Shooters World

Brandon has been wanting to go shooting for the longest time and we found a pretty good deal at Shooters World. Every Friday ladies shoot free and get a free gun rental.. that's $25 off! Pretty cool! I'm definitely not into guns and wasn't about to shoot one so it was a good thing we brought Tyler along! First they shot a glock and then they shot a rifle. I'd have to say Brandon and Tyler's favorite gun was the riffle. I'd also have to say the boys had lots of fun!!

The shooting range was very loud even with the ear protection! In the riffle bay there was a gun that had a silencer and it was still louder than any of the other guns! When they shot the gun there was a huge light that came from the end of the gun! It was amazing how bright it was!

Thought Mike would be jelly so we sent him some blanks and the target! (:

Happy Birthday to My Man!

My Brandon turned 26 on the 19th! I can't believe he is already 26! I worked on his birthday but thankfully he didn't schedule any appointments for himself and took the day off! For lunch I took him to Mr. Sushi as a surprise lunch! He had been begging me for sushi for the longest time and I gave in for his birthday. He had California Rolls and some teriyaki chicken with green onions. I just had teriyaki chicken. It was a very good lunch! I got home a little late from work but after work we headed over to my families house for some cake and later to Cafe Runba for dinner with the Dawson's. We had a pretty good time and were grateful to have everyone around us for Brandon's birthday! Who knows, if we get into Dental school next year and end up going out of state this might have been Brandon's last birthday in Arizona for a while! Thanks to everyone who sent Brandon those 'happy birthday' texts and helped us celebrate. You made his day!

Happy Birthday Best Friend! With many more to come! Love you!

HP 7 Part 2

We are definite Harry Potter fans and have gone to the midnight showing for the past 3 movies! This time we headed over to Harkins at 9 to wait in line outside. While we were waiting in line the manager of Harkins said that there were people who started waiting in line at 8 o'clock that morning! Crazy!

Made sure we took a picture of Mike with us!

Brandon likes going out and finding all the crazy people who get dressed up so Ty and I waited in our spots while Brandon ran around Harkins!
Here he is with Ron!

We had lots of fun watching Harry Potter 7 Part 2! So much fun that Brandon and I were tempted several time to go and see it again!

Family Pictures

Before Mike headed off to the MTC we took family pictures! Daniel took them and they turned out GREAT! For those of you that don't know, the Coniam family members don't like getting their pictures taken so this was a rare occasion! We are so grateful for these pictures because we wont have this same opportunity for another 2 years! Definitely a moment captured in time!

Favorite with everyone!

Love this one of Mike!

Favorite with their boy!

I love every single one of these pictures!

Our Idea of Date Night

Sometimes we have busy days, sometimes we have days where we don't really do much and sometimes we have difficult days. But we always love sitting down together, pizza and a double chocolaty chip in hand, watching the office. It always seems to make us laugh, even though we have seen every episode at least 3 times! (: Some how it gets funnier and funnier!

In Loving Memory of Britni Wright Petersen

She is Gone
You can shed tears that she is gone
Or you can smile because she has lived.

You can close your eyes and pray that she will come back
Or you can open your eyes and see all she has left.

Your heart can be empty because you can't see her
Or you can be full of the love you shared.

You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday
Or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday.

You can remember her and only that she's gone
Or you can cherish her memory and let it live on.

You can cry and close your mind,
Be empty and turn your back

Or you can do what she would want:
Smile, open your eyes, love and go on.

Our First Haboob

What is a haboob?!
A haboob is a type of intense sandstorm commonly observed in arid regions throughout the world. They have been observed in the Sahara desert as well as across the Arabian Peninsula, throughout Kuwait and in the most arid regions of Iraq.  In layman's terms it's a huge dust wall that gets everything in its path dusty and dirty. The news reported this haboob to be 1,000 feet high!

And this is what my car looked like after!

4th of July

We both had work off for the 4th of July and so we got to have lots of fun! We woke up a little bit earlier than wanted but we had a couple fun things we wanted to do! First we headed to Hot Bagel to get our usual bagel when the tire on Brandon's car went flat. After sitting in the sun for 30 minutes it was all fixed and we were ready to get back to our planed day. We headed over to a church breakfast just to join in on the fun.

Throughout the day we had little things to do but the main parts of the day were spent with family and friends. We ate at Barros Pizza in the afternoon and then Ray's Pizza just before we headed to the fireworks.

Tradition says that for fireworks we go to the Dillard's parking lot and sit in the grassy area. We were sitting in the grass when all of a sudden the sprinkler system came on! Some of us got more wet than others but it is definitely a story that will go in the books!

Mr. Fix It

Fireworks are now legal in the State of Arizona and there was a group of people/kids lighting them right where we were sitting.

After the sprinklers came on we headed out into the street!
Looks like only Brandon and Anya were ready for this picture!

1912 Ford Model T

Friday night for date night Brandon and I went to Freddy's. It's a burger joint on 51st and Bell and they have the BEST fries! I have learned not to eat to many though because you could get a stomach ache!
When we pulled up to Freddy's we saw lines of old cars in the other parking lot and decided that we would head over after we had some dinner. We finished dinner and walked around to look at the cars. Some cars were remakes and some cars were really old cars that have been rebuilt! Our favorite car was this 1912 Ford Model T car! Yes 1912! We were standing by the car and looking at how cool it was and all the old fashion things on it when the owner said to us "Hey do you have a camera? Get up in there and I'll take your picture!" Brandon looked like a kid in the candy story when he said that! He was so excited! We got  to talking with the owner of the car and he told us the lineage of how he got the car and said that he sold 2 cars and got a loan to buy this!

What a fun date night!
