My Cousin IS a HERO!

My cousin works for the Phoenix Police Department. 2 years ago he was making a routine traffic stop and was shot. The shot barley missed his chest thanks to the bullet proof vest he had on. Thankfully my cousin was not killed that day! We are so grateful for his bravery and great sense of humor in the ordeal that could have cost him his life! You are awesome Bret!

On Friday the end of the trial took place and the man who shot Bret was to be sentenced. As soon as I waked in the courtroom I saw the man who shot Bret and I completely broke down in tears! How could someone just take his life away he was doing his job, he has a family who loves him and looks up to him! How can that decision ever cross someones mind?! I can not understand!

After almost 2 hours of closing statements the man who shot my cousin was sentenced to 36.5 years in jail. With hugs and happiness from our family and friends the man was taken back to jail where he belongs. I am so grateful that my cousin is still alive today to be able to tell the story of how got shot. We give thanks to our Heavenly Father for watching out for and protecting him on that horrifying day.

Spring Break Week

So this past week was filled with birthdays! First, Bradley turned 17 on the 13th!! Then Mike turned 17 on the 18th! And then my mom turned (uhh I don't think she would appreciate me telling you) on the 21st!! So fun!
For Mike's Birthday we went to Outback, one of his favorite places to go and he got Birthday Ice cream! It was so good!

This is what it looked like!! Naturally, I ate most of it because everyone else wanted it to go to waste! But I would never waste perfectly good ice cream!

An AWESOME 4 day weekend!!!!

Last Friday Daniel and Liz got married!! It was such a great day and the weather was so awesome!!! Liz was so beautiful of course, and the reception was so pretty! Great ideas Liz!! We are so excited that they got married and are now in our ward!! It will be so nice to have them keep us company! :) We love you Daniel and Liz!

Here they are coming out of the temple! Late Thursday night Daniel, Nicole, and Miley came to town! It was so much fun walking up to the terminal and seeing Miley run to Ash! Talk about cute!!! Miley has grown so much since the last time we saw her! She is such a smart girl and has the cutest laughs!

This weekend was so much fun because we got to hang out with Dan, Nicole and Miley! We miss them so much and tried to hang out with them as much as possible!

On Saturday we went to the mall and Miley didn't want to leave this Carousel!!!

Sunday night we were over at mom and dad Dawson's with the whole fam! I had our camera in my hands and Miley came and sat by me and said "teez!" She is so stinking cute! So I took some pictures of her! haha!

In April Dan and Nicole are having another baby girl!! We are so excited for their little one too! And cant wait till she gets here!! She is going to be so cute!

On Monday Adam and Allyssa had their sweet baby boy! His name is Alexander Adam Dawson! We are so excited for this new addition to the family! He is such a cutie!! Good job Adam and Allyssa!!

We had a great weekend! We love spending time with family and we love our niece and nephew they are so much fun!! We wish EVERY weekend was this fun! Love you all!
